POLICE SURVEY

Everyone is encouraged to go online and help our local Police set their Policing Priorities. The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete and you’ll be answering questions about what you think your local Police team should be focusing on for the next three months. Between now and October 31st they will be gathering information that will allow them to concentrate on the problems and concerns that most affect you here in the New Forest.  Just go on line using the link below and have your say, and if possible ask your friends and neighbours to complete the survey too.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR RUBBISH BAGS OUTSIDE YOUR GATE!

There have been a growing number of rubbish bags being placed outside gates which can be injurious to livestock grazing the Forest.  Animals are attracted by food in the bags which can also contain glass, plastic and other harmful things and of course their enthusiastic attention can result in unsightly rubbish being spread around. This has recently become a particular problem in Minstead, Bank and Woodlands.

Everyone is urged to keep their rubbish within their property gates – it will still be collected!

For further information see the Village Community website and the New Forest District Council website which tell you more about rubbish collections and recycling and who to contact if you have any queries about this issue.

VILLAGE LUNCH

The first Village Lunch of the season will be held in the Trusty at 12.30pm on Tuesday 17th October and is open to all Minstead residents at a special price this year of £7.99.

Subsequent lunches will be on 21st November and 19th December.

Mike Hutton will send a list of 2018 order dates round before Christmas but there will be one per month up to March then bi-monthly until monthly from September.
