It is planned to light a beacon at the top of Hilly Field to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday on 21st April. It is hoped as many Minsteadeans as possible will attend or at least be able to see it from a suitable vantage point!
Please help by providing suitable dry material that will burn brightly (please no garden rubbish!) and building the beacon on 20th and 21st April.
Material should be taken to Hilly Field just past the top of the road to Furzey on the left and placed within the fenced off area. (The gate is easily opened by lifting the chain!).
