The purpose of the Society is to plan and manage the annual show which is normally held in the Village Hall on the first Saturday in September
This year we celebrate the Show’s 75th anniversary by welcoming BBC Radio4’s well-loved Gardeners’ Question Time to Minstead Village Hall on Tuesday 25th August in anticipation of the Show on Saturday 5th September

COMING TO MINSTEAD 25/8/2026
Having trouble with your tomatoes or challenges with your camellias? The well-loved Radio 4 Gardeners’ Question Time team will be visiting the village of Minstead in advance of the 75th anniversary of the Minstead Flower, Fruit and Vegetable Show and are ready to help.
The recording of the show will take place at the Minstead Village Hall on Tuesday 25th August and doors will open at 5pm to give the audience time to compose their questions for the panel. Perhaps you simply want to see how the Show is made or meet, in person, the experts who travel the country trying to answer questions which will help next summer’s blooms and produce to survive in our ever-changing climate.
Given the challenges gardeners have faced over the summer this is a great chance to gain some hints and tips about how to salvage your salvias or reinvigorate your soil and tickets are now on sale via TicketSource. Refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity to enter any of the classes at the Minstead Flower Show which takes place just 10 days after the recording – and the day after the main recording is broadcast.
