The Minstead Flower Show Society is affiliated with the Royal Horticultural Society.
It organises an annual flower, fruit and vegetable show in the Village Hall, usually on the first Saturday in September.
The sixty-sixth Show took place on Saturday 2nd September 2017 and was another outstanding success thanks to lots of hard work by many. There were a massive 563 entries and once again the Hall looked spectacular and the judges commented on the very high standard of all the exhibits.
The Show was opened by Minstead pantomime celebrity Emma Vardy who took time off from her day job as a BBC journalist and reporter to be with us.
Introducing Emma, the Flower Show Society Chairman Colin Payne thanked the Committee for all their hard work to make this year’s show another outstanding success. Emma remarked on the huge amount of work that had gone into preparing for the show, the high standard of exhibits and was impressed by the effort put in from across the Village community. She was delighted to declare the Show Open!
