Safer New Forest

Safer New Forest is a partnership that consists of partner agencies such as New Forest District Council, Hampshire Constabulary, Hampshire Fire and Rescue and Probation.  Together they work towards reducing crime and anti-social behaviour and to make the New Forest a safer place to live, work and visit.

The partnerships key priorities for 2018-2019 are:

  • Children at risk
  • Modern slavery & human trafficking
  • Drug & alcohol related harm
  • Develop consistent recognition and access to support for victims of domestic abuse

MODERN SLAVERY

Victims of Modern Slavery are trapped in their situations by lies, co-coercion, threats to themselves or their families, violence and debt.  The purpose is exploitation.

  • Domestic Servitude
  • Forced criminality
  • Forced marriage
  • Organ harvesting

SPOT THE SIGNS

The first step is to be able to sense modern slavery and spot it.  By understanding the signs to look for you could help the most vulnerable people in your community.
