MESSAGE OF THE WEEK – NOTICE LITTER

There are a number of notices around the Village and on noticeboards which have been up for several weeks and are looking very bedraggled.

If you see any that are now obviously out of date please feel free to take them down.

If you put them up in the first please consider taking them down, bearing in mind they will lose impact after a few weeks.

Many thanks to those who help keep the Village litter free.

Minstead Study Centre Singing Workshop

1 March 2014, 2-5pm

Choral director, composer and singer Jeremy Avis has built a reputation for his joyful engaging and slightly left-field community singing workshops.

Recently he has composed music for the Queens Diamond Jubilee River Pageant, conducted a huge project for the Cultural Olympiad and been acting on stage at the National Theatre, the RSC and in Botswana.

This 3 hour workshop will get you singing joyfully in parts, a selection of easy to learn songs that herald the coming of Spring and the joy of new seasons from places as far afield as Botswana, Bulgaria, Essex and Jeremy’s own composition.

An afternoon of full-throated vocal expression and the visits to exciting new vocal territory is guaranteed!

 Minstead Training Trust: Trustee Recruitment

Are you wanting to share your entrepreneurial, business or financial skills to support other people? Are you looking to give something back to the community?  Do you have a passion for making a difference in people’s lives?
The Minstead Training Trust believes that everyone has a right to live independent and meaningful lives and wants to grow its services for adults with learning disabilities.  But we need the help of a strong, strategic board of Trustee who can help set the charity’s strategic direction, support its development and ensure that it meets its legal and regulatory responsibilities.
We run a variety of services and events for learning disabled adults in Hampshire but are looking to expand our services and seek innovative ways of developing our reach. Our board of Trustees meets on a quarterly basis and are now looking for new Trustees with entrepreneurial, business or financial backgrounds who are willing to share their skills and experience to take us to the next stage of our development.
For more information please visit our website and follow the links on the `Support Us` page or contact Madeleine Durie, Chief Executive Officer on 02380 812 297 for an informal discussion (madeleine.durie@minsteadtt.org)
Closing Date:  Friday 7 March 2014
