QUEENS BIRTHDAY BEACON THURSDAY 21ST APRIL

It is planned to light a beacon at the top of Hilly Field to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday at approximately 8.30pm on 21st April.

It is hoped as many Minsteadeans as possible will be able to help construct, attend or at least be able to see it from a suitable vantage point!

Please contribute by providing suitable dry material that will burn brightly (please no garden rubbish!) and by building the beacon on 20th and 21st April.

Material should be taken to Hilly Field just past the top of the road to Furzey on the left and placed within the fenced off area.  (The gate is easily opened by lifting the chain!).

For further information please contact Wilmur Biddlecombe on 07899 264263.

Food and refreshments will be available at the Social Club from about 7pm and there will be an opportunity to continue celebrations afterwards!

 VEHICLE EXCISE LICENSING

It used to be easy to check if a vehicle was properly taxed by inspecting its Tax Disc.  The new on line system makes this less obvious.

If you want to check if a vehicle is “taxed” you can use this link to do so –https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax

If you wish to report an untaxed vehicle you can use this link to do so –https://forms.dft.gov.uk/report-an-untaxed-vehicle/
