CAROLS ON THE GREEN WITH FATHER CHRISTMAS SATURDAY 23RD DECEMBER
There will be carols, mince pies and a festive tipple outside The Trusty from 6pm……and possibly even some presents!
(Parents please hand in clearly labelled presents to the Trusty by midday Sat 23rd and try and keep the value under £5)
This will be followed by a performance of the ancient Minstead Mummers play
(see below not to be missed!)
WHEN WILL HE ARRIVE?
Father Christmas’ exact arrival time will depend on reindeer flying performance and snow conditions on the day but we are assured he will be with us at approximately 6.30pm.
THE MINSTEAD MUMMERS NEED YOU!
The Ancient Minstead Mummers’ Play is being dusted down again, ready for Saturday 23rd December. It’s about 10 minutes long and is performed on the Village Green, then in local pubs. Home grown and informal; no one has too much too say and it’s great fun. Traditional costumes are provided. A short rehearsal will take place at the Mellershes in London Minstead at 5pm on the 23rd. Again the year is an invitation to share the memory of a loved one at Christmas
The Christmas tree will be in church from Friday 15th December
Fill in a name tag (names will not be read out)
which will be used as part of the Christmas tree decorations from the Carol Service (4pm on Sunday 17th) until 12th Night.
Blank tags will be in box on the front left pew in the nave, or use your own.
Please do join us in a joyous Christmas celebration.
ROYAL BRITISH LEGION POPPY COLLECTION
Minstead, Stoney Cross and Emery Down raised £630 .91p during this year’s collections prior to Remembrance Sunday.
Thank you to all the businesses who had static collecting boxes and to those who generously gave their time to do house to house collections.
MINSTEAD PLAYERS PRODUCTION
Thank you to everyone who supported us by coming to see our latest production and for your generosity in raising a total of £239.44p for The New Forest Carers Friends who regularly hold Carers cafes throughout Hampshire and organise events specifically for carers.

Local Produce Christmas Fair – Tuesday 12th December, 6pm-9pm
Enjoy mulled cider, Christmas music and twinkly lights while you shop. There will be a variety of small local producers selling Christmas gifts and stocking fillers. Our hamper baskets will be available on the night – pick up a basket, select your produce and we will wrap complimentary.
