A final reminder that the next walk in ‘flu clinic at Lyndhurst Surgery is from 2 to 5 pm this Wednesday 19th October
OIL ORDERS
Orders for oil deliveries in October should be with Minsteadoil@gmail.com by 9am on Wednesday 19th October and will be placed with the company offering the best price on the day. You will be notified of the company and its contact details, as well as the price and delivery window, after the orders have been placed.
Subsequent order dates this year will be November 16th and December 7th. Next year’s dates will follow soon.

The Social Club and Junior Minstead are running the annual Halloween party at the Club on Saturday 29th October – 6pm till late.
All the usual competitions and Tattooed Skullery providing the BBQ.

BT PAYPHONES
BT has placed a 42-day consultation notice for the removal of 48 phone-boxes in the New Forest District, including the one in Minstead at the bottom of Lyndhurst Rd opposite the turning to the Splash and Fleetwater. If you have any comments please pass these by 28th October to the Parish Council Clerk who will be responding on behalf of the Parish. However, it looks unlikely that any strong objections will be possible.
This proposal concerns just the removal of the phone and the Parish Council will be considering separately whether or not to adopt the phone box itself.

REMEMBRANCE DAY 11TH NOVEMBER
It is expected that there will be a short ceremony of remembrance on the Village green organised by the Lyndhurst Branch of the Royal British Legion. Time to be promulgated but it is likely to be in the middle of the day or early afternoon.
