BEAT REPORT

See beat-report-dec-16 for the December 2016 Beat Report for our area.

This is well worth reading: it contains useful advice on home security and also how to deal with Cold Callers or Rogue Traders as well as other things of interest.  In particular it emphasises the reliance our local Police place on calls made by members of the community about suspicious people and vehicles they have seen in the Northern New Forest.

If you would like to meet our local Police they will be at the next Beat Surgery at 10am on Saturday 14th January at the Village Shop.

CHICKENS IN NEED

Chris and Tessa Keeley wonder if anyone has any old newspapers going spare for their chickens who are confined to barracks until the end of February to prevent the spread of Avian Flu? They are running low and papers are handy for lining the chicken ‘litter’ trays. Their chooks are fairly easy to please ………. broadsheet or tabloid are fine so long as the paper is not glossy!

Contact numbers are 02380 812415 (home number) or 07958 727369 (Tessa’s mobile) and tessakeeley@btconnect.com.  They are very happy to pick them up from your house.
