LIVING IN THE NEW FOREST

If you have recently purchased a property in the New Forest you are probably aware of the special responsibilities that go with living in such a beautiful place. In case you are not sure there is a useful leaflet for newcomers (and indeed for all who live in the Forest) which provides advice and guidance for owners of properties adjoining the Open Forest. To read this visit:

It has been produced by the New Forest Higher Level Stewardship Scheme and is supported by the Verderers, the Forestry Commission, the National Park Authority and Natural England.

The leaflet covers a range of subjects including how to protect your garden, keeping the New Forest character, boundary and ditch maintenance, hedges, verges and the importance of avoiding excessive outside lighting.
